The Compressor Plant Salliqueló, located in the province of Buenos Aires, began to work. This installation, equipped with a compressor 15,000 HP of power, form part of the additional works on the Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno, and its launch marks the completion of the first stage of the project, which improves the capacity of transport of gas from Vaca Muerta to the province of Buenos Aires.
The Pipeline Perito Francisco Pascacio Moreno and the Compressor Plant Tratayén, along with the addition of 5 million cubic meters per day (MMm3/day) from Salliqueló, were designed to carry initially a volume of 21 MMm3/day. However, the transport capacity has been exceeded, reaching an injection of 23 MMm3/day. Thus, the launch of the Compressor Plant Salliqueló will challenge the capacity of transport of the final stages of the Neuba II, enabling full utilization of the pipeline in terms of its potential today. The estimated savings from this volume to 2025 is estimated at $ 130 million for the country, given mainly by replacement of liquid fuels in winter period. The total amount of the committed investment in the contracts is $ 120 million.
operation of the Compressor Plant Salliqueló had been scheduled for September 2023. However, in December 2023, when it was received, the progress of the construction was equal to just 19% in aspects of civil works (had no progress in piping, electrical wiring, control systems and instrumentation in addition to issues of import of equipment). Despite this, in these 10 months, we worked in a continuous manner and the plant was completed and today is in operation, thus complying with the goal of putting it operational for further optimizing the energy infrastructure of the country.
